BATON ROUGE, La. (June 21, 2017) – The 30th anniversary gathering of the National Senior Games made its own history, with athletes producing at least four new world records and eight American Masters track records among the 142 new entries into The Games’ record books.

2017 NSGA Annual Conference Highlights: Gathering of member games’ organizers produces positive energy
DALLAS, Texas- By all accounts, attendees to the 2017 National Senior Games Association (NSGA) Annual Conference found a wealth of useful information, spirited networking opportunities, and renewed energy at the gathering of Senior Games organizers and partners at the mid-country meetings held from January 25-28.
Conference sessions featured technical assistance related to games planning and operations, but also to health and wellness topics that serve NSGA’s core mission to promote active lifestyles to all people 50 and over. Presenters included vendors, NSGA staff and invited special guests.

The Greeley Culture, Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with the Colorado Senior Sports Development Council (CSSDC) to give Colorado athletes an opportunity to compete in the 2014 Rocky Mountain Senior Games starting on June 4, 2014 at the Greeley Senior Center.
For five days, hundreds of athletes spanning not only Colorado, but the entire United States put their training to the test by competing in an array of events including road races, track and field, swimming, cycling, volleyball and dozens more. For many Colorado athletes, RMSG marks more than a mere competition, but instead, a tradition spanning decades of hard work, accomplishments, memories and friendships. One of these athletes is 79-year-old RMSG veteran, Vern Spencer.
